 Moharaz, Children's Progressive Art Studio, llc protects the environment; we recycle our paper, clay, ink-print cartages, and others. We follow Princeton University ’s guide Environmental Health & Safety which offer basic information to work safely in Visual Arts. This information is located at the EPA’s website that links to http://web.princeton.edu/sites/ehs/artsafety/sec12.htm. *** Moharaz does not work with solvents, linseed oil, oil paint or any paints or materials that might contain toxic elements or lead. Moharaz’s projects are elaborate with non-toxic products. Moharaz uses water-base paint. We are not planning to use glaze (until future notice) the green-ware will be fire ones and painting on cold. Moharaz will fire-out. Clay and pottery’s classes are once a week to prevent any back or hand - muscle pain. Also, pieces that are work-in-progress are covered in a wet rag, and spray with water and cover with a plastic bag, to keep them wet; at the same time, to prevent any exposure to silicates particle (This element found in the dry clay; at this stage it is easy to breath – Excess of exposure to silicates might be harmful for the health). Hand and items that were using to work the clay, are wash in a plastic containes.(This container is drained into other container with a cotton rag on top to filter any particle of clay. The clay collected on the rag is re-used). After this, hands are second wash on the sink. Lotion it is recommended to prevent any dry-hands.
